Twickenham Stadium is one of the most famous rugby arenas, and for good reason. Seating a whopping 82,000 spectators it’s the largest rugby venue in the world and is the perfect place to experience the electricity of the pre-game excitement. There is also a rugby shop, stadium tours and the World Rugby Museum.

Also home to the Stoop, Twickenham is the home ground of the Harlequins, giving fans the chance to see some less expensive games throughout the season.

Richmond Half Marathon

One of the UK’s most celebrated parks, Old Deer Park in Richmond puts on the Richmond Half Marathon every year. Most of the race is flat and there are some fast runners, but slower runners can take part too. Just make sure you take the time to admire the stunning Kew Gardens as you pass by, as well as picking up a goodie bag.

Twickenham and Teddington are the ideal place to experience some of the fantastic rowing events held along the Thames, with the Richmond Bridge Boat Club putting on a range of fun and serious events throughout the year, as well as courses for those wanting to try their hand.

Osterley Park Run

Osterley Park and House puts on running events throughout the year, giving runners of all abilities the chance to compete in a running race. Pushchairs and dogs are also welcome, and there is also Junior Park Run which is put on for younger runners every year.

Bubble Boys

For something a little bit different book a day at Bubble Boys in Twickenham and spend an hour or two with the top half of your body in a giant plastic bubble. Run around, play teams and generally treat each other as bumper cars in probably the weirdest game of football you will ever play.
